Robert Donald Stettler, 79, of Mount Pocono, passed away on Monday November 18, 2024, at Saint Luke's Hospital, Bartonsville.
Born January 13, 1945, in Mount Pocono in his childhood home during a snowstorm. He was the son of the late Joseph and Martha (Lasher) Stettler. He was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
Prior to his retirement he worked for Bush Service Company in Stroudsburg. Then he went to drive a truck with M&G Car Carrier. He eventually owned and drove his own truck before ending his trucking career at Calex.
He loved playing softball and baseball. He enjoyed watching all baseball teams, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved Nascar and football, especially the Oakland Raiders. He still says, "Franco didn't catch that Ball!!!!!!!!"
He spent many days riding his snowmobile and his Harley with his buddies. He is riding high in the sky with Opie and Brother Bear (Teeter and George)
He is survived by his 2 sons, Robert "Bobby" Stettler Jr. of Mount Pocono, and Keith M. Stettler and his wife Marilou of Cresco: 2 grandchildren Sarah Stettler of Manyunk, PA and Ryan Stettler of Cresco. He is survived by his sister, Grace Doll of Tannersville, PA. Preceded in death by his siblings, Joe JR, Bill "BRUSKY", Paul, Pauline, Pearl, and Ruth. He has many nieces and nephews.
He leaves behind his loving partner, Edna Edgcomb of twenty-three years.
He is being cremated. There will be no service at this time. A private ceremony will be held by the family.
