Mae Etta (McInnis) Ball was born in Prentiss, Mississippi, on June 13, 1938, to Oldie McInnis and Linnie Lee Price. At an early age, her family relocated to Gulfport, Mississippi.

In 1957, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Howard Ray Ball. They had two children, Jacquelyn and Ricky. Etta enjoyed all types of domestic work, such as carpentry, refurbishing furniture, sewing, and most of all, yardwork. She was also a restaurant entrepreneur.

In 1970, Howard and Etta joined McDowell Memorial COGIC. Mother Ball worked faithfully in the church for many years and served God with her whole heart.

Etta leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughter, Dr. Jacquelyn (Rome Boyd/deceased) Graves, and Francene (Ricky/deceased) Mason. Also survived by her brothers, L.M. "Pete" (Shirley) McInnis, Gulfport, MS; Mack "Teddy" McInnis, Chicago, IL; and a sister, Lucille Polk, Chicago, IL. Her grandchildren, Rome Boyd Graves Jr., Elvretis (David) Wash, Paris Morris, Ricky Mason Jr., great-grandchildren, Elvretis "LaMeta" Wash, Ethan Savoy, Tyler Mason, and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Etta was loved and a blessing to many people she encountered.
