Mae Ann Henderson

Mae Ann Henderson, age 95, of Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at home. She was born on August 26, 1930, in Spokane, Washington, to Verne and Vera (Svendsgaard) Church.
Mae Ann is survived by her two sons, Bjarne (Cynthia) Henderson and Verne (Anna Mercader) Henderson; her sister, Edith Harris of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren, Oliver (Kayla) Henderson of Wiesbaden, Germany, Elisabet Mae Henderson of Barcelona, Spain, Paul (Emily) Henderson of Madison, WI, Lars Henderson of Burton, MI and Erik Jordi Henderson of Barcelona, Spain and great granddaughter, Georgia Mae Henderson of Augusta, GA. She was preceded in death by father, Verne Church; mother, Vera Church; spouse, Oliver Henderson and brother, Verne Church Jr.
Mae Ann loved, and was loved by, her family. She loved nature and historical preservation. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her honor be made to Indiana Dunes State Park or National Parks or any other park of your choice.
