Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Maggie Lorene Glandon Doss, age 98 of Maysville, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Mrs. Doss was born in Dossett, Tennessee a daughter of the late James Carter Glandon and the late Mary Emily Violet Glandon. Mrs. Doss was a retired seamstress and a member of Oconee Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded by her husband George Thomas Doss, and seven brothers and four sisters and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include her daughter Dottie Mathis and her husband George of Maysville. Two grandsons, George Mathis and his wife Rhonda of Homer, Brian Mathis and his wife Kim of Gillsville. Great grandchildren, Nathan (Kellany), Paige (Alex), Carter, Hunter (Bailey). Great great grandchildren, Beau, Blake and Case.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 28, 2024 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Fitzpatrick officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
