Obituary
Maggie (Deuble) Farley, age 72 of Lake Forest, Illinois, passed away March 11, 2023. She was born November 9, 1950, in Canton, Ohio to Walter and Beverly (Hartung) Deuble and graduated from Glenwood High School.
Maggie was passionate about collecting vintage art, jewelry and furniture. Her passion transformed into her business which began as "Happenchance," originally located in North Canton in the early 1980's. She moved the business to Lake Forest, Illinois in 1983 and later had a store in Lake Bluff, Illinois called Shops on Scranton where she raised her two boys. She was recognized by Good Housekeeping and Country Living for her talented work. She loved to travel with friends and family and made friends everywhere. Maggie worked with the I-PLUS Veterans organization assisting veterans with financial planning and health care needs. Always following her heart, she also supported the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center, and through the years, loved her many dogs.
Survivors include her sons, Andrew (Petra) New and Gregory Reeve Lanham; grandchildren, Ivy Jane and Autumn Mae New; sisters Molly (Clinton) White, Gretchen Deuble; brothers, Steve (Barb) Deuble, Joe (Debra) Deuble; sister-in-law Joyce Deuble. Preceded in death by brother Andrew Deuble.
A memorial service will be Friday, April 14, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home 1517 Market Ave N. Interment will follow in North Lawn Cemetery.
