Maysville-Mahlon Dwayne "Muff" Thomas, 66, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026. He was born on February 17, 1960 to the late Russell Calvin and Evelyn Rebecca Davis Thomas. He was a member of Lee's Chapel Methodist Church where he served as a deacon, lay speaker, and an usher. He was a 1978 Graduate of Mason County High School where he played basketball and baseball. He went to Chicago University where he played baseball and transferred to Cumberland College where he transferred to continue playing baseball. He is survived by his children, Mahlon (Tori) Thomas of Maysville, KY, Gaberiel (Tiffany) Thomas of Maysville, KY, Randall Bloomfield of Maysville, KY, Sedaya Thomas of Maysville, KY, Jaden Colemire of Maysville, and Logan Stidham of Maysville, KY; 13 grandchildren, Aubreyona Thomas, Makenna Thomas, Kenyon Thomas, Meilani Thomas, Khari'Mahni Thomas, Keeghan Thomas, Khyra Thomas, Korbin Thomas, Keyon Bloomfield, Aniah Bloomfield, Elias Stidham, Emma Stidham, and Lyiam Stidham; four brothers, Calvin Thomas of Maysville, KY, Galon Thomas of Maysville, KY, Clayton Thomas of Jacksonville, FL, Darius (Miranda) Davis of Berea, KY; and four sisters, Tina Thomas of Jacksonville, FL, Sivi Wills Lexington, KY, Tarita Madison of Lexington, KY, and Gail Thomas of Lexington, KY. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Easten Bravard; two brothers, Russell Thomas and Marlon Thomas; and one sister, Susan Thomas. Funeral will be 1 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Washington Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-1 pm on Saturday at the church.
