Mairim Maya

Mairim was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, on January 30, 1985, and passed away on October 2, 2025, in Katy, Texas. A woman of deep faith who loved the Lord, Mairim devoted her life to family, ministry and service. She married Jonathan in 2009 and together they have four beloved children: Esther, Nathan, Caleb and Judah. Mairim was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, missionary and friend who impacted countless lives with her warmth, compassion and faithful witness.

For many years Mairim served as a Ministry Assistant at Kingsland Baptist Church, where her compassionate service and radiant faith were a guiding light to the congregation - uplifting members, comforting families, encouraging friends, and offering kindness to strangers. She answered God's call to missions and carried that same light abroad on numerous selfless mission trips, ministering to communities in need and supporting global outreach efforts. That light was shown to anyone who met Mairim.

She is survived by her husband Jonathan; her children Esther, Nathan, Caleb and Judah; her parents, Marcos and Miriam Carbonell; her siblings Mark and Ana, Matt and Jessica; and numerous nieces, nephews, in laws and extended family members, and a multitude of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Kingsland Baptist Church, 20555 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, TX 77450. Her final resting place will be Katy Magnolia Cemetery, 6801 Franz Road, Katy, TX 77493 (Only for close friends and family)
