Wesley Little, Past Master - Mt. Mansfield Lodge 26 F&AM
December 8, 2025
Mt. Mansfield Masonic Lodge No.26, in Jericho, VT., is honored to give tribute to Fraternal Brother, Malcolm Floyd Severance a Worshipful Past Master of Webster Lodge No.61, formerly in Winooski VT. Malcolm held many positions and served as Master for 2 years from 1962 to 1964. His dedication never wavered. He remained a lifetime member for 73 ¾ years.
Malcolm lived a full, productive life. We send his family our sincere sympathy as they gather to give their respect to his cherished memory.
At our December 11th meeting, the Lodge will honor him as we drape our charter to express grief and reverence for his memory and the life he lived.

Long before I ever taught at UVM, while teaching at Spaulding High School in Barre, Vermont--Prof. Severance awarded a select group of teachers something called ECON-TREK VERMONT--A fellowship to UVM for Vermont teachers and I was one of the lucky ones. (I might add that Gov. Richard Snelling was also included in this group). It was a wonderfully enriching several weeks and Malcome made certain it was noteworthy in all respects.
On top of that--Prof. Severance was fun to be with and we enjoyed time at this wonderful Colchester home with Gladys, his wife, and friend.
Thank you, Malcom, for that wonderful opportunity and inclusion. RIP dear friend...
