Malissa K. Davis, 78, of Bethlehem Township, passed away unexpectedly on October 14, 2022. Born in San Antonio, Texas on September 28, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Charlene (Mclarty) Davis. She graduated from Littleton High School in Colorado and later earned her bachelor's degree in economics from Colorado College.
Malissa was commissioner of Bethlehem Township for seven years; a position she held with great pride. She loved the arts and in her younger years she danced ballet. When her granddaughter started ballet, she took the senior ballet classes. Most recently, Malissa took up painting as her artistic hobby. She also liked to collect antiques. Malissa was a kind person who would help people and animals alike. She spent her time helping with cat rescues with the Center for Animal Health and Welfare; helped various democratic candidates canvass; and as a 2-time cancer survivor herself, she would drive cancer patients to their appointments when they needed it.
She is survived by her son, Sky Davis and his wife, Laura of Palmer Township; and granddaughter, Cassidy Davis.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). Memorial contributions in Malissa's name may be offered to the Center for Animal Health and Welfare, https://www.healthyanimalcenter.org/donate. What a great lady! I got to know her through our shared devotion to the Bethlehem Area Public Library. I loved to hear about her work, but also about her family and her artwork. What a talent!
May your memories be for a blessing. I will miss her and so will Bethlehem Township.

Malissa was a dear friend. She had a delightful sense of humor, and showed her caring in so many ways. I express my heartfelt sympathy to her family, especially Cassidy, who was the apple of her eye.
