Mamie Whitmire Obituary
Mamie was born January 5, 1931 in Henagar, AL. to parents, James Mansel and Lora Estelle Smith Gilbreath. She was a 1947 graduate and class Valedictorian of Ider High School. She was employed many years with Tennessee Power Board and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her brother, Charles Gilbreath, niece, Lucinda Smith, nephews, Stan Gilbreath(Courtney), Scott Gilbreath(Angie), along with several extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James W. Whitmire, sister, Frances Carson, brother, Prince Gilbreath and nephew, Wes Mayhall.
