Marc R. Baker, age 65, of Hartville passed away on March 12, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on May 20, 1959, and graduated from Bellefontaine High School and enlisted in the Air Force where he served for 4 years. Marc's family was the most important part of his life. Meeting the love of his life Sandy was one of the best things that happened to him. He adored his children and especially his 3 grandchildren whom he loved sneaking candy to and teaching how to be ornery. Marc was an avid outdoorsman and loved going on hikes and adding to his extensive rock collection. He spent his professional career building his own pest control business, Accurate Pest Control, and is thankful for the many lasting relationships that were made there. Marc was a lover of animals, including his best friend and bed bug dog, Max and had a passion for monkeys. He loved sports, including autograph hunting in Cleveland as well as traveling to NASCAR races across the country and golfing, especially his round at Pebble Beach. Marc was proud of his Irish heritage, evidenced by his family crest tattoo that he proudly displayed.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Baker; children Andrew Baker and Alex (Nikki) Baker; grandchildren Minnie, Remi, and Quinn; parents Philip and Nancy Post; siblings Dana (Debbie) Baker, Nikki Baker, Cara Storer, Jennifer (Dave) Rogers, and Robin (Dennis) Kelley; mother in law Ann Ernst; sisters in law Kelly Kinninger and Christine (Tom) Shetler; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Calling hours will be Monday, March 17, 2025, at First Christian Church from 2 to 4 PM. Celebration of life services will be held at 4 PM in the church.

Dear Mark´s Family,

We recently learned of Mark´s passing and were stunned! My husband and I are so sorry! We first came to know Mark when my husband and I worked for APS and he provided his great service there and to our home and our son´s as well. His knowledge was exceptional! He was a true disciple of Our Lord and we loved talking to him about the faith we shared! Surely, heaven has gained a devoted Christian and the earth has lost one who exemplified Christ´s love in his work and his relationships with others.....he is missed!

Marc was a very special person. His kindness, generosity and love for his family was very apparent. My husband and I met Marc about 37 years ago as a customer of his pest control business and over those years he became a friend.
To his family, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

What is the world gonna do without you in it? My mind is picturing you heading down the stairs to grab whatever goodies were in the kitchen as I Sat visiting in my home away from home, your parents home. Needless to say, the visits to your apartment on the corner of Columbus and Troy Rd. I'll hold the place in my heart open for you until we meet again in Paradise! Sleep well! I'll think of you often, Auntie Anne.
