Marcel Roland Tardif, 94, died peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Claudette R. (Long) Tardif with whom he shared 58 years of marriage prior to her passing on September 5, 2018.
Marcel was born on March 13, 1930, in East Angus, Canada, and was the son of the late Edouard and Clarilda (Cote) Tardif.
For many years, he was employed as a final inspector for Batesville Casket Company until his retirement. He later worked part-time at Market Basket in Nashua.
In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports as well as home improvement and cooking shows. He never turned down an opportunity to have dinner with his family at his favorite spot, Browns Seafood. Marcel was a dedicated and hardworking man, ensuring to always provide for his family. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family who he loved deeply.
Marcel is survived by his two children, Steven Tardif and his wife Elaine of Nashua and Lyn Bomberg and her husband Thomas of Merrimack; his two grandsons, Matthew Bomberg and his wife Arianna of Swanzey, NH and Michael Bomberg of Merrimack; as well as his great-granddaughter, Eloise Bomberg. He is also survived by his brother Jean Guy Tardif of Quebec, Canada and his sisters, Pauline Long of Nashua and Monique Hinse of Quebec, Canada; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Marcel's graveside service on Thursday, July 18th at 10:30 AM at St. Louis Cemetery, 752 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment will follow. Arrangements entrusted to the care of ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua.
