Marcella Louise Pozzi, 90 years old of Cecil, passed peacefully on Friday, June 29, 2018 in Bridgeville Rehabilitation and Care Center.
She was born August 28, 1927 in Bishop, daughter of the late John and Barbara Murgel Adams.
She was a member of St. Mary Parish, Altar Society, Belles of St. Mary. She was active in St. Agatha's Catholic Daughters of America, where she held several local and state offices including Regent, Vice Regent, Treasurer and District Deputy. She belonged to Hilltoppers, McDonald-Cecil Sr. Citizens, and Cecil American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was a graduate of Cecil High School in 1945. She served as Judge of Elections in Cecil, was a 20 year volunteer at Canonsburg Hospital and enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, electronic games, and visiting the casino.
She worked at GE-Pittsburgh, Conaway Inc. Cecil Elementary as a Library Aide, and helped her son as a clerk for Checker Cleaners in Cecil.
Surviving are two sons, Raymond B. Pozzi, Jr, and Donald Pozzi both of Cecil; two daughters, Marcella "Marce" (John) Zaragoza of Daytona Beach, Fl, and Kathy (Michael) Cannon of West Alexander; four grandchildren, Patrick Zaragoza, Stefanie Cannon Wittmaak, Nicole and Clayton Pozzi; two great grandchildren, Brother, John "Bud" Adams of Cecil; four sisters, Betty Zirwas of McDonald, Jean Ciaffoni, Joan Totterdale, and Barbara Ann Adams all of Cecil.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond B. Pozzi, Sr., and infant brother Andrew Adams.
Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, (Rt. 50) Cecil, PA. where prayers of transfer will be said on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 9:30 AM followed by a Christian Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
