Marcus Arnold Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ansberg-West Funeral Directors on Feb. 20, 2025.
Marcus Nathaniel Arnold, "Marc", 61, was born May 8th, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio to James and Betty Arnold. He went home to be with the Lord on February 14th, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by family.
Marcus attended Glenwood Elementary and Old West End Junior High School. He continued his education at Roy C. Start High School, where he played basketball and graduated in 1981. Marcus worked at CSI for many years where he positively impacted the lives of those he worked with. In 2010, he obtained a Real Estate License Certificate from Owens State Community College.
Basketball was one of his greatest passions! For over 25 years, he worked as an amazing basketball coach for Glenwood Elementary School and Libbey High School. He was a God-fearing man who grew up in the Church of the Living God the Pillar and Ground of the Truth, Which He Purchased with His Own Blood, Inc., Jewell Dominion in Toledo, Ohio.
Marc was known for his sense of style which reflected his confidence, charm, and respect for the occasion. He took great pride in his appearance and his sharp sense of style made him stand out wherever he went. Some of Marc's favorite things to do included attending games, coaching, spending time with his children/grandchildren, making sure his cars were clean, keeping up with the latest fashions, and hanging with friends and family.
He considered his mother, Betty Carter, to be the love of his life. He also loved his children and grandchildren more than anything in this world. He took great pride in loving his children and cherished every moment of watching them grow and flourish. He was a devoted, always present, and deeply involved father, grandfather, uncle, brother, friend, cousin, and son.
Marcus was preceded in death by his father, James Arnold and sister, Carrie Carter. Our beloved Marcus leaves to cherish his memories his beloved mother, Betty Jean Arnold-Carter; his children, Marcus Arnold Jr. (Jasmine), LaTasha Smith, Tiffany Arnold, James Arnold (Erica), Tiara Arnold, Sarah Arnold, India Arnold, Amirakal Arnold, Jayden Arnold; and grandchildren, Jada, Hannah, Miracle, Marcus III, Mackenzie, Ja'Ceon, Raniyah, Ronald (RJ), Rhyley, Ava, Jalon, and Cypress; brother-in-love, Marquin Sr.; nephew, Marquin Jr. (Sherita); niece, Misheal (Eric); great-nephew, Amir; special friend, Shontae Logan; best friend, Terry Files, along with a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 W. Sylvania Ave. Visitation will so take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 11:00am - 12:00pm at Church of the Living God, 3220 Meadowbrook Ct., where funeral services will begin at 12:00pm.
