Marcus John Esch Sr.

Marcus John Esch Sr, age 68, passed away November 17, 2021. A funeral service will take place at Janowicz Family Funeral Home on Monday, November 22 at 11am. There will be a one hour visitation before the service. Burial will follow in Blanchard Pine River Cemetery.
Marcus was a true family man. While spending much of his time with family and friends, he enjoyed pulling pranks on them. Although he was sometimes stubborn, Marcus had a great sense of humor. He was a help to the Amish community, offering his time to those needing an extra set of hands. Marcus fine tuned his mechanic skills from years of stock car racing. The outdoors meant a great deal to him. Hunting, camping, and fishing trips were some of his favorite ways to spend his free time.
Marcus is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lila Esch (French); children, Marcus Esch Jr. (Emma Cantu), Amy Sue Esch (Greg Wiles), Rose (Paul) Bigelow, Lila (Mark) Manley, Becky Esch; brother, Jason Esch Jr.; sisters, Lorna Brown, Patricia (Steve) Beauchamp, Penny Sowden, Sandy (Scott) McLean; 23 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jason and Nina (Peters) Esch; stepmom, Eugenia Esch; brothers, Ronald Bergey, Rayland Bergey Jr., Dennis Esch; grandson, Ronald Joseph Esch Berryhill; lifelong friend, Virgil Harvey; and his beloved dog, Lilo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with burial costs.
