With heavy hearts, we share that Marcus Maxey, beloved father, son, brother, cousin, and friend, has been reunited with his mother, father, and the Lord on September 16th, 2025.

Born on November 25, 1975 in Lawrenceville Georgia, Marcus lived a fulfilling life, full of love, friendship, generosity, and dedication to his community. He was loved by all who crossed paths with him.

He found joy in running a business alongside his son Alexander, watching football with friends, and bragging about his children.

Marcus cherished time spent with family and friends. His warm presence filled every room, and he will be deeply missed by his family and community.

Marcus is survived by his children: Alonis Maxey, Ashlynn Maxey, Alexander Maxey, and Angelle Maxey; his sisters: Lisha and Cleveland Crosby, India Lewis; and his aunts and uncles: Joe and Ann Vines, Chester and Linda Maxey, Rebecca and Marvin Tanner; Paul Hammond. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Gresham, and his father, William "Butch" Maxey.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, September 24th, 2025 from the chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home, providing the opportunity for all who knew and loved Marcus to gather, share memories, and celebrate his beautiful life.

Though he is no longer with us, his life, laughter, spirit, and legacy will continue to live on in all who crossed his path.
