Marcus Turner Obituary
Shon was born on May 14, 1971 in Cleveland County, NC, son of Linzy "Butch" Turner of Crouse and Cindy Cagle of Cherryville. He was a 1989 graduate of Bessemer City High School. Shon retired as a sergeant from the U.S. Army after 20 years of honorable service. He later worked as a correctional officer and security guard in South Carolina. Shon was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his daughters, Sarah Turner of Lincolnton; Morgan Griffin, Jessa Turner and Macie Turner all of Taylorsville; a son, Camdon Turner of Fayetteville; a sister, Christy Bingham and husband Travis of Lawndale; a grandson and granddaughter. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:45PM to 1:45PM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Plainsview Baptist Church in Lawndale.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Plainsview Baptist Church with the Revs. Wayne Key and Jerry Lail officiating.
Burial will follow in the City Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
