Mr. Marcus “Mark” Gene Young, age 70, passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.
A lifelong resident of Macclenny, Florida, Mark (son of Rose Belleville and LJ Young) was lovingly raised by his mother and his “Granny Mert”
Mark’s memory will live on through his devoted wife of 48 years, Denise; his daughters Angela (Shane) Marsteller, Joanna Young, Christina Young (Bradley Norman), and Ashley Young all of Macclenny Florida; his 11 grandchildren (Jacquelyn, Andrea, Benjamin, Levi (Angela), Clayton, Marcus, Garrett, Zane (Joanna), Brayden, Grayson (Christina), and Mark (Ashley); and his 4 great-grandchildren. Brothers, Ricky Belleville (Barbara) and Robby Starling (Hope) both of Macclenny, FL: one sister, Lori Jones (Doug) of Macclenny, FL.
Mark is preceded in death by his brother, Dale Young.
Mark was the proud co-owner of Earthworks of Florida, a company he helped build from the ground up. Mark spent decades growing Earthworks into what it is today, and did so side by side with his longtime friends and business partners, Jeff and Denny.
Mark enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Dale Sr., hunting, and spending time with his family, but above all, what he lived for was spending time with his loving wife Denise.
Services to honor the life of Mr. Mark Young will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, June 5th, at Christian Fellowship Temple with Pastors David and Timmy Thomas Officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will begin at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow the funeral service in Woodlawn Cemetery. The staff of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home is honored to serve the family during their time of loss.
