William M. Williams, Jr., 75 of Glen St. Mary, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. Born in Florence, South Carolina on August 2, 1950, William was the son of William, Sr. and Margaret Anne. He attended Florida Junior College (present FSCJ), where he received his Associates degree. William would go on to work as a corrections officer and sheriff’s deputy with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, dedicating twenty years of service until his retirement.
He enjoyed the outdoors in his free time, being an avid fisherman and quite the marksman and gun collector. He will be remembered as a loving brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves behind one brother, Roy (Mary S.) Williams of Glen St. Mary; as well as close friends.
Final memorialization will be by cremation.
The staff of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home is honored to serve the Williams family during their time of loss and thanks Mr. William Williams, Jr. for his service as a first responder.
