Maren L. Hickton
Maren passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at her home in Bethel Park, PA at the age of 69. She was the only daughter of the late John “Jack” Hickton and Gloria Hickton. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Dennis C. Ball. She is also survived by her brothers, David (Dawne), Jake (Claudia), Loran, and Tony (Karen). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Maren was an entrepreneur at a very early age. She was selected out of 1,200 students at St. Ann's Grade School for a Fine Arts Scholarship at Carnegie Institute (1969-1971) which resulted into a career as a state-certified Art Therapist. She then was a self-employed owner of Creative Business Graphics, helping assist other entrepreneurs open their own businesses. Maren eventually opened “Maren Incorporated”, a business of “Full Service Hospitality Consulting and Marketing”, with an impressive list of local clients. After retirement, Maren used her gourmet cooking skills and provided meals to many clients in the South Hills. Family and friends welcome Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at FREYVOGEL -SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS (412-835-1860) 112 Fort Couch Rd. Bethel Park, 15241. Funeral mass on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 10:00 am in St. Catherine Laboure Parish, St. Joan of Arc Church. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial will be private to the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in Maren's name.
