Margaret E. Alspaugh, 90, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Countryside Continuing Care Center in Fremont. Margaret was born on March 17, 1935 to Alvin and Ersil (Reynolds) Rose in West Virginia. She married Victor H. Alspaugh on June 19, 1955 in Toledo, OH and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2010.

Margaret worked at the Ottawa County Nursing Home in the laundry department for many years until she retired. She enjoyed gardening, crochet and sewing. Margaret was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Fremont.

Margaret is survived by her son Daniel (Margie) Alspaugh, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Tina (Steve) Farnsworth, Gina (Harold) Grove, Mallory Alspaugh; great-grandchildren, Stevie, Nadia, Nickolas, Jessica, Ellie; great-great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Raelynn, Carlos “Jr”; sister, Doris (Cliff) Hartline.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Victor H. Alspaugh; son. Timothy Alspaugh; siblings, Audrey Roach and Merle Rose.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH 43420

Burial: McGormley Cemetery, Fremont, OH.

Memorials can be made in her honor to The Church of the Nazarene.
