Margaret Elizabeth Amick

Margaret "Maggie" Elizabeth (Fields) Amick, 53, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at her residence.
Maggie was born on April 2, 1971, in Richwood, West Virginia, and was a daughter of the late Delmas Fields.
Maggie worked for Brookdale in Harrisonburg for 25 years in various capacities, including Activities Director and Director of Memory Care. She spent her life caring for others and especially loved the elderly, whom she always entertained with her contagious smile, good humor, and vivacious energy. She certified her beloved Schnauzer, Sassy, as a therapy dog and the two made frequent visits to bring joy to the lives of the Seniors at Brookdale. She loved spending time at the Outer Banks. Maggie enjoyed tending to her gardens, especially her flowers, and doing arts and crafts. She planned several craft fairs and was known for gifting the items she made. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
On April 14, 1989, she married the love of her life, Tony Lynn Amick, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Maggie is survived by her son, Anthony Amick; her daughters, Miranda Amick and Harper Lorencki; sisters, Misty Walker, Madonna Colburn; grandchildren, Jacob and Gabriela Amick; her beloved dog "Sassy", and many special friends.
Maggie was also preceded in death by a sister, Marlena Amick.
A celebration of Maggie's life will be held on a later date in Harrisonburg, VA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
