Margaret "Peggy" J. (Archambault) Commisso, 90, of East Longmeadow, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret (Gunther) and Joseph Archambault.

Peggy was a proud graduate of the High School of Commerce, Class of 1953, where she remained an active alumna and served on the Reunion Committee for many years. In 1958, she married the love of her life, James Commisso, and together they raised three sons with love, faith, and devotion.

She worked for Home Lumber Company in East Longmeadow for over 23 years as the Bookkeeper and Office Manager, retiring in 2000. Prior, Peggy was the Bookkeeper for the former Rainbow Girl Coat Company in Springfield.

A longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Springfield, Peggy lived her faith through service. She served as chairperson of the Rebekah Group (United Methodist Women) and was a dedicated member of the Altar Guild. Her kindness and commitment to her church community reflected the values she held dear.

Peggy was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She delighted in family gatherings and was known for her warmth, compassion, and creative talents, especially in the kitchen. A gifted baker, she was renowned for her beautiful wedding cakes that brought joy to many celebrations.

She is survived by her sons: Frank Commisso and his wife Martha of East Longmeadow, Michael Commisso of East Longmeadow, and Joseph Commisso of Tarpon Springs, Florida; four cherished grandchildren: Annie and Zachary, and Ryan and Joseph Commisso, and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving sisters, Jeanette Barnard and Susan Moran. Peggy was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, James Commisso, in 2021.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30am at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow with a service at 10:30am. Committal prayers and burial will take place at Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
