Margaret June Presley was born July 18th, 1943, in Mound City Illinois to Jeanette Pearl Sheppard and Robert Leon Presley. June was one of five children between her parents. She passed on October 14th, 2023, in Titus Regional Medical Center with her son James, daughters Tina and Latisha and son in-law James by her side. June married Wallace Harrison on October 13, 2000. June had three sons and four daughters and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren who loved her dearly.
June was a prominent member of Mt. Vernon’s community. Over 40 plus years, she provided support to the community though her dry cleaning business, to Veterans as the VFW Commander of Post #3992 and as a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She lived in Mount Vernon with her husband Wallace “Dean” Harrison.
She is survived in life by her children Bobby and Julie Dinkins of Wilmington IL., Tina and Steve Poole of Mount Pleasant TX., James and Houng Turner of Harker Heights TX. Kimberly and David Gray of Mount Vernon TX., Patricia Turner of Mount Vernon TX., and Latisha and James Moss of Winnsboro TX. As well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
June was preceded in death by her husband Wallace “Dean” Harrison, son Virgil Dinkins, parents Virgil and Jeanette Land, Robert Presley, sister Linda D. Nelson, brother Larry L. Presley, grandson Billy Ray Smith JR., granddaughter Angel L. Locke, and granddaughter Rachel Lynn Moss.
