In April of 1970, Peggy married the love of her life, LeRoy Hoheisel. Together they built a life grounded in family, hard work, and quiet acts of care. Known affectionately as Mom, Grandma, and Old Gramma, Peggy was the matriarch of the family. She had a special gift for making people feel cared for, especially children, whom she doted on without hesitation. She was a steady presence in her grandchildren's lives and delighted in every moment spent with them - they could always count on Grandma for a trip to Walmart or the Dollar Store. Peggy was a gifted quilter, an avid gardener, a sleuth puzzle setter, and a devoted bird watcher who was keen on spotting cardinals. She had a warm, playful spirit and surprised many with her Snapchat efficiency, never missing a snap or a story. Her kitchen was a gathering place, always stocked with home-cooked favorites like her famous sugar cookies, and she had a way of making even simple things feel like a treat. Most of all, Peggy was a helper. She showed up, she pitched in, and she quietly made life better for the people around her, which was evident in her career choice at the Pierz Villa in the activities department. Remembered by many for calling a mean game of nickel bingo.

Peggy is survived by her children, Lynn (Toby) Egan and their family - Corey, Erin, Camryn, Posey, Ace, Kailey, Nick, Adeline, and Maverick; Beth (Robert) Gruber and their family - Kaitlyn, Kevin, Sophie, and Eli. She is also survived by her siblings, Andy Anderson (Ruby), Marie Trafas (Jerry), Judi (Bob) Johnson, Carol Mick, Bill (Georgia) Anderson, Lois Weyers (Marty), Bruce Anderson (Kathy), and Chris Anderson. Peggy is also survived by her in-laws, many nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends who were like family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; parents, Vivien and Ann Anderson; siblings, Dorothy Wagner, Betty Paul, Tom Anderson, Virginia Anderson, and Jack Anderson.
