WICONISCO - Margaret J Hoover, 91, of Wiconisco, PA arrived at heaven's gates on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
She was born in Abington, PA on September 28, 1933, daughter of the late Myers and Helen Dyer Stephens.
She attended Wiconisco High School. After high school she married Robert Hoover. She then devoted her life to raising her family, which remained the center of her life.
Margaret retired as a seamstress in the garment industry. She was a wonderful homemaker, she attended and volunteered at the Lykens United Methodist Church. Her passions included spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed family picnics, loved visiting her daughter and son-in-law in Doylestown, and volunteered at church functions and fund raisers, as well as cooking and baking. She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Penn State Nittany Lions.
She was a faithful member of the Lykens United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the United Methodist women's group. She was also a member of the Wiconisco Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and a member and past president of her local ILGWU.
Above all, Peg's greatest joy was her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hoover, brother Robert (Bob) Stephens, sisters, Helen Zerby, Barbara Branchick, and a great-granddaughter Madilyn Faith Trawitz.
Survivors include her daughters Linda Trawitz of Lykens, PA (Allen deceased), Natalie Wall (David) of Doylestown.
She was a proud grandmother of James Robert Trawitz, Stephen Trawitz (Mandi), of Millersburg, Tyler Trawitz (Jayme) of Lykens, and a great grand-grandmother of Hunter and Hayden Trawitz of Millersburg. She also had four step-grandsons, David (Melissa) Wall of Roanoke, VA, Michael Wall (Yvonne Evanoff), and Brian Wall of Harrisburg, PA, and Steven Wall of Georgetown, TX. and two step-great-grandchildren, Cody and Chelsea Wall of Roanoke, VA.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Peg's life will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Lykens United Methodist Church with her pastor John Lesher. Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. The service will begin immediately after the visitation.
