Margaret Jeffcoat of Moore, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the age of 90. She was born Margaret Ann Bishop on April 7, 1934, the daughter of Theodore Haskell Bishop and Goldie Ann (Brownlee) Bishop, both of whom have preceded her in death. She is also preceded by her husband Jeff, a brother, Teddy Bishop, and her sister, Marie Morrison.
Margaret leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her children, daughter Sharon Marie Sanderson and her husband Ted of Moore, Oklahoma, and son Michael Allen Jeffcoat of Dallas, Texas; brother Melvin Bishop of Norman; grandchildren David Sanderson and his wife Nina, Rachel Glossup and her husband Chris, and Amy Hammond and her husband Christopher; and great-grandchildren Bryan Sanderson and his wife Grace, Mila, Claire, and Korin Sanderson, Cyrus, Cademon, Cohen, and Kezzia Glossup, and Ryder, Annabell, Abagale, and Emma Hammond.
Margaret graduated from Yukon High School and began a successful career working with numbers. She loved to work and spent 46 of those years as an Accountant for local car dealerships. Margaret was a member of the Lutheran church in Del City. Known for her loving, quiet and demure nature, Margaret's standout trait was being an amazing listener. Her unique ability to make individuals feel heard, appreciated, and valued left an unforgettable mark on those she had conversations with.
She loved reading, mostly westerns, and specifically Louis L'Amour. She was never caught without at least one book on or near her person, and in true Margaret fashion, started every book she read at the end. She also enjoyed listening to music and loved the sound of bagpipes, Native American music, and of course, classical. She greatly enjoyed traveling all corners of the United States with her husband Jeff. Their 54-year partnership was built on mutual care, laughter, shared aspirations, and true love for each other. Together, they nurtured a family with their two children, imparting the virtues of kindness, perseverance, and unconditional love. During the last four years of her life, she cultivated many friendships at Medical Park West, all of which were as diverse as her library. Yet, it was her family that remained her greatest source of pride and joy.
As we honor the memory of Margaret Ann Jeffcoat, we are reminded of the lasting impact she leaves on the hearts of her family and friends, a legacy of love and kindness that will forever endure. She will be dearly missed.

When I was little we would lay in Grandma Jeffcoat and we would eat ice cream and read a book to us

When I was little we would lay in Grandma Jeffcoat's study and hang out with her as she read us a book of her choice
