She was born on March 10, 1941, in Appalachia, Virginia to Dan and Ester (Varga) Jordan.
Margaret earned her bachelor's degree and starting teaching in New York and California. She taught school for over 40 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Teachers Association. Margaret loved to sew and plant various fruit trees in her yard in California.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dan and Ester Jordan, her siblings, Johnny, Don, Helen, Bill, Steve, and Julia.
Margaret is survived by her two sisters, Irene (Glenn) Gamble of Lexington, KY, Christina Jordan of Walnut Creek, CA, her niece and caretaker, Sheila (Skip) Pace of Washington, IN and many other nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen according to her wishes, and she will be buried in Kensico Cemetery in New York.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society in memory of Margaret's love for animals.
