Margaret Ann Lesho

Margaret Lesho, age 85, of Virginia Beach, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, February 20th, 2023 at the Baylake Retirement Community, in Va. Beach.
Born in Irving, Illinois, Margaret graduated from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL in 1960. She moved to New Jersey where she began her career teaching music. While there, she met and later married Leonard Lesho - together they resided in Medford Lakes, NJ from 1965-2005. Margaret retired in Virginia Beach where she was an active member of her church, Thalia United Methodist, singing in the choir and playing bells. She also enjoyed volunteering in her community and spending time with her granddaughters.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Leonard and is survived by her son John, her daughter Jennifer Lesho Fowler (Scott), and her grandchildren Megan Fowler Shamburger (Patrick), Kate Fowler, and Natalie Fowler.
The family would like to thank the staff at Baylake Retirement Community, particularly The Inspiritas Memory unit for their dedicated love and care. They would also like to recognize Legacy Hospice for their care and support of Margaret and her family.
Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Southeastern Va. Alzheimer's Association (alz.org/seva) or The American Red Cross would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the HD Oliver Funeral Home, Va. Beach.
