Margaret Macneal

Peggy was born in Newark, NJ and graduated from Union High School where she laid the foundations of her strong work ethic and compassionate spirit. She later brought these qualities to the family business, Spring House Irrigation, where she served with dedication for over 30 years.
The true heart of Peggy's life was her family. She was a devoted sister to Marion J. Horror. Peggy's love story with her husband, the late Lt. Joseph A. Taddeo Jr., was one of deep affection and shared dreams tragically cut short when he was killed in action April 22,1953. Two days later, Peggy gave birth to Joseph A. Taddeo III (wife Diana). She then married the late Robert Macneal. They were married for 35 years and had a son Bob Macneal (wife Cindy). They traveled, spent time with friends and adored their grandchildren, Joseph Taddeo, Cara Amato (formerly Taddeo), Tyler Macneal and Maia Macneal. In later years, Peggy was fortunate enough to share her life with her 5 great-grandchildren.
Beyond her family she loved to travel, listen to music and spend time with her friends. Her "club" of many years provided her with a cherished circle of friends. Dance was another one of Peggy's passions and she could often be found on the dance floor at any occasion, taking lessons and competing in her retirement. As we say goodbye to Peggy, we celebrate a life lived fully and with great love. May Margaret rest in peace knowing that her legacy of love, strength and grace will live on for generations to come.
