Maggie (Conway) Kirshner, age 66, a life-long resident of Penn Hills, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, after an eight-year battle with colon cancer. Maggie was the beloved wife of David Kirshner for 38 years. Endearing mother of Michael Kirshner and Ryan Kirshner. Sister to Mary (Dale) Balkovec of Aurora, OH, the late Sean (Julie) Conway of Mt. Lebanon, Colleen Nolfi of Oakmont, Kathleen Conway of Oakmont and Kevin (Paula) Conway of Monroeville. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In 1980, Maggie earned two bachelor's degrees in Biology and French from Washington and Jefferson College. While attending W&J, Maggie was the Editor of the school newspaper, The Red and Black. She later attended the University of Pittsburgh to study Chemistry and Computer Science.

Maggie was employed by UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh for 35 plus years. She held the following positions:

1. Executive Administrator for the Divisions of Rheumatology, Clinical Immunology and Renal-Electrolyte Divisions, Department of Medicine.

2. Center Administrator for the Department of Psychiatry/Pediatric GI.

3. Program Manager Administrator for the Division of Psychiatry, UPMC.

Maggie loved to socialize with friends and family. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and playing cards. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Gerald's Parish and sang in the church choir. Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 at MAURICE L. KNEE, LTD. FUNERAL HOME, 7663 Saltsburg Rd., Plum, PA 15239. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Bernadette R. C. Church of Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish, 245 Azalea Dr. Monroeville, PA 15146. Entombment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
