Margaret Peternel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Krause Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Inc. - Capitol Drive on Jun. 11, 2024.
Margaret Mary Peternel was called home to the Lord on June 6th, 2024, at the age of 88. Margaret had unwavering faith and commitment to the Catholic Church.
Devoted wife of Andrew J. Peternel (for almost 66 years) and lifelong good sport to his quick wit. Loving Mom of Mark (Dianne) Peternel, Beth (James) Shannon, Kevin (Lisa) Peternel, Daniel (Jodi) Peternel, and Julie (Michael) Wells. Dear sister of Ann (Richard) Owens. Precious Grandma of A.J. and Ryan Peternel; Brendan, Chandler and Kayla Wells; and McKenna Peternel. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Julia Puchalski, and her brothers: Jackie, Marty, Tommy, Joey and Frankie.
She enjoyed family camping trips in her younger years, as well as gatherings, picnics and parties. Marge was an energetic dance partner to polkas, square dances and waltzes. She was in her glory when her grandchildren were with her or when she was involved in their many activities.
She also enjoyed baking and her specialty was chocolate chip cookies. Marge enjoyed a rewarding career of service as a nurse's aide, LPN and RN. She regularly volunteered at St. Joseph's hospital in the nursery feeding the newborns and at St. Margaret Mary's Parish.
Most of all, Mom loved her family and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. Her kind, sweet, and gentle way was a legacy that we will all cherish. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Special thanks to Synergy Home Care and Horizon Home Care and Hospice.
