Margaret "Marie" Plitsch GOOSE CREEK, SC - M. Marie Plitsch (68) of Goose Creek, SC passed away peacefully at her home on November 4,2024, after a courageous battle with cancer and was embraced with open arms by our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into his eternal kingdom. Marie was born on November 12, 1955, in Key West, Florida, daughter to her late father William E. Johnson, and her mother Shirley L. Johnson.

Marie is truly loved by so many. She lived her life with passion and to its fullest. Marie very much enjoyed being with her close-knit friends and family. She loved watching college football at Debbie and Val's and cheering for her Florida Gators and Clemson Tigers. She loved her "girls' night out" singing and laughing with her close friends at Montana's and visiting Los Arcos where she enjoyed a delicious Margarita daiquiri.
Marie is survived by her loving husband John Plitsch who together shared a strong and special love like no other. She is survived by her three children: daughter Kristine "Krissy" Plitsch-Linder (Joe) of Summerville, SC, two sons Joshua Taylor of Charlotte, NC and Jason Smith (Adrienne) of Goose Creek, SC; her mother Shirley L. Johnson of Goose Creek, SC; her brother William "Bill" Johnson-Conner (Patricia) of Sumner, Iowa; five grandchildren: Alyssa Taylor of Ridgeville, SC, Jaxson Weber of Goose Creek, SC, Ryan Weber of Summerville, SC, Tyler Weber (Meaghan) of Summerville, SC , and Savannah Linder of Summerville, SC; five great-grandchildren; and her niece Frankie Marie Orr (Chris) of Virginia Beach, VA.
She is preceded in death by her father William "Bill" Johnson and her younger sister Pamela Jean Johnson.
Marie leaves behind a legacy in life that cannot be replicated and a void in our lives that cannot be filled. The outpouring of pure love shown by countless friends is an absolute testament to her good nature and kind-hearted soul. She will be deeply, deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her three fur babies - Arie, Lana, and Little Bit.
No funeral or memorial service will be held. Instead, a celebration of life will be held at a date and location to be announced by invitation.
