Margaret Ann Ports

Margaret Ports, of Carrollton, Texas, was called home after a hard-fought battle with cancer, peacefully surrounded by her family on November 5, 2025. Margaret was born on February 2, 1947, in Lockhart, Texas, to Rudolph and Alice Krueger. She attended school in Lockhart and graduated from Lockhart High School, Class of 1965.

After many years of dedicated service in the accounting field, Margaret retired in 2013. She devoted her retirement years to her family, embracing her cherished role as a loving Nana. She was also an active member of her senior community and faithfully participated in her Bible study groups.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Alice Krueger, and brothers Walter Krueger, Harold Krueger, and Charlie Krueger. She is survived by daughters Misti Miller (Bradley) and Amber McNair (Brandon); siblings Nancy Osborn, Norman Krueger (Lori), Wanda Keirn, and Diane Sassmanshausen; grandchildren Ashley Carroll (Jacob), Alyssa Leal (Leonardo), Harper McNair and Harrison McNair; and great-grandchildren Blakely Carroll, Presley Carroll, and Elianna Leal (expected May 2026).

A Celebration of Life will be held at11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas. Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 a.m.

The family of Margaret Ports wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, caregivers, and friends who so lovingly supported and cared for her throughout her seven-year cancer journey.
