Margaret Roach Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Margaret Elizabeth Roach was born Sept 5th, 1932 in Baltimore Maryland and she was sent to her eternal home on July 29th, 2025, after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Maryland, and she loved her family, dear friends and Maryland crabs. "Murph" as she affectionately known by the people who knew her best, touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her and her unyielding humor. Her journey on this earth was marked by love for her family, dancing, having ice cream, chocolate, compassion for all living and breathing things, and her unwavering faith in God. She was preceded in death by her late husband of 55 years Joseph T. Roach, her deceased son Joseph D. Roach; her parents Margaret Rowley, and father Michael Reilly, and her brother, Billy Reilly and sister, Catherine Reaser. While her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit and memory live on with her remaining family. She leaves behind her only daughter, Karen Ann Roach of Virginia, Maryanne Roach, daughter-in-law, grandson Andrew Roach and his wife, Kayla and her great grandchild, Marik Roach. In addition, she leaves behind many endearing nieces and nephews: Kathy Kropp and husband Mike, Johnny Reaser and his wife Gail, Michael Roach, Damon Roach, Melanie Matesic and Charmaine Klemkowski. A special thank you to the staff at the wonderful Gilcrest Hospice for their exemplary care of "Murph". Margaret Roach's legacy will carry on forever reminding each of us that we control our own destiny, and we should all live a life full of meaningful acts of service modeled by Christ, our Savior.
