Mrs. Margaret Lucile Sapp

Mrs. Margaret Lucile Lamb Sapp, of Quitman, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. She was 86 years old.
Margaret "Lucile" was born on January 7, 1938, to Albert Jack and Sarah Alberta Brannen Lamb in Madison, Florida. She was a graduate of Madison County High School. To all her family and friends, she was the true picture of the hands and feet of Jesus. Her sweet smile, loving personality, and beautiful hazel-green eyes will be remembered forever. She will be missed deeply, but her family finds comfort in knowing she is back with her sweetheart, Charles S. Sapp, who she was married to for over 65 years.
Lucile worked for Van H. Priest Dime Store in Quitman, GA, and later was the director of the Daycare Center at Brooks County High School. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family, friends, and loved ones. Lucile also enjoyed being a band booster, tending to her flowers, sewing, cooking, reading, and watching Florida State Football games. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Quitman, and she enjoyed working with the nursery and children's ministries.
Lucile is preceded in death by her parents Jack and S.A. Lamb; her husband, Charles Sapp; her three brothers Albert Lamb, Thomas Lamb, and Jimmy Lamb; and her three sisters Sarah Helen Lyons, Ruth Winburn, and Stella Buchanan.
Lucile is survived by her daughters Cyndi Sapp Taylor (Wilson) of Hahira, GA, and Sarah Caroline Jones of Quitman, GA; her two brothers Paul Lamb (Dawn) of Mayo, FL, and Bill Lamb (Sharee) of Mayo, FL; her sister Linda McCray (Terry) of Mayo, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Buddy Buchanan (Eileen), Buddy Sapp, Martha Lamb, Susan Lamb, and Mary Grace Wynn; four Grandchildren Chandra Jones, Andrew Jones (Faith), Michael Taylor (Kim), and Millie Jordan (Patrick); and her seven great grandchildren, Bryce, Madison, Morgan, Walt, Beau, Josie, and Cherub. She is also survived by a host of friends, extended family, church family, and community members.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 29, 2024, at 11:00AM at Hopewell Baptist Church, 4611 SW, Co Rd 360, Madison, FL 32340, with Rev. Steve Shierling, Rev. Steve Kegley, and Rev. Andy Daughtry officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at Hopewell Baptist Church from 10:00AM – 11:00AM. Interment will be at San Pedro Cemetery, 9231 SW County Road 14. Madison, Florida.
