Margaret L. Sizemore

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 7, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Margaret Sizemore, 68, who passed away on March 3, 2011 at 10:25 am at her residence. Pastor Carl Cormier, Pastor of Victory Family Worship Center, will conduct the funeral services. Internment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park. Margaret was the daughter of the late Pete Earl of Knoxville, TN and the former Ruby Alberta Stanford of Corryton, TN. She was born in Claiborne, TN, but has been a resident of Broussard for over 30 years. Her children referred to her as "Mom" and her grandchildren referred to her as "Nanny". A compassionate and strong lady, she has been the rock of her family. Since February 2010 she has been battling lung cancer and her family is proud to say she was a fighter. She was a very caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved playing cards on Thursdays with the ladies, Marion, Lou, Bobbie, Vern, Melba and Brenda. She will be missed but her compassion for her family will live forever. She is survived by three children, Reid "Butch" Sizemore, Jr. and wife Flo, Tommy Sizemore and Pam Boutte'; her six grandchildren, Justin Sizemore and wife Jolene, Jimmy Sizemore and wife Lynnzie, Corey Boutte' and wife Karla, Cortney Boutte' and husband Shannon and Brian and Markus Babineaux; five great grandchildren, CJ Boutte', Gavin and Maddox Sizemore, Carli Boudreaux, Kinsley Babineaux and Reide Avery Sizemore and close family friend, Tina Richard. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who she loved dearly, Reid N. Sizemore, Sr.; three brothers, Johnny, Jimmy and RT Earl. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and on Monday from 8:00 am until the time of services. Pallbearers will be Justin Sizemore, Jimmy Sizemore, Bryan Babineaux, Shannon Trahan, Richard Boutte' and Gerald Melancon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Reid "Butch" Sizemore, Jr., Tommy Sizemore, Corey Boutte' and Markus Babineaux. Her family would like to thank Dr. Cain and his staff and Heart of Hospice for all the care they provided to their dearly departed.
