Mrs. Margaret "Dolly" Soellner, age 102 and 5 months, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the home of her daughter in Lewes, Delaware.
Born December 16, 1922, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Bella (Hurst) Weiss. Mrs. Soellner graduated from Pottsville High School, Class of 1941, and went on to attend beauty school.
On June 23, 1945, she married William Soellner until his passing in 1984.
Mrs. Soellner began her professional life as a beautician and later was employed at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania, where she served as the switchboard supervisor. She was known for her reliability, kindness, and warm personality, retiring in 1984 after many years of dedicated service.
Following her retirement, Mrs. Soellner enjoyed more than 30 years living in Florida, where she thrived in the sunshine and social atmosphere. She loved spending time at the casinos, dancing, laughing, and entertaining friends-always the heart of any gathering. Her vibrant personality and love for life made her a beloved presence wherever she went.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Kreiser of Lewes, Delaware; and Angie Ventresca; and Teri Millard. Mrs. Soellner also leaves behind a wide circle of dear friends and acquaintances, each with treasured memories and joyful stories of time spent in her company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Soellner, and her son, Daniel Soellner.
Per Mrs. Soellner's wishes, no formal services will be held. Her life was lived on her own terms-with grace, strength, humor, and generosity-and she chose to be remembered in the same way. Her family invites you to honor her memory by sharing your stories and celebrating the joy she brought to others.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
