Margaret Alene "Margie" Tidwell

Margaret "Margie" Alene Tidwell, 81 years of age, of Dickson, TN, went to be with her heavenly father on March 31, 2025, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center.
Margie was born October 3, 1943, in Dickson County, TN, to the late Clyde and Clara (Gray) Clifton. She was a devout Christian lady and a member of Pomona Church of Christ, where she enjoyed mentoring and teaching a young ladies class on Wednesday night. She attended the old Dickson High School and played high school basketball as a lady Dragon. She always enjoyed being an athletic person. She loved her family very much, as she was a loving, happy, passionate lady with a little bit of fiest. Margie was a true southern cook and baker, who thoroughly enjoyed cooking for others. While raising her boys, their house was often the place all the friends would gather and enjoy many meals. She was an excellent baker often making wedding cakes and birthday cakes for others, as she was known to be a very giving person. She was a collegiate sports fan which included a love of basketball, football, softball and baseball with UT Vols being her favorite. The Atlanta Braves was her favorite major league team. The Tennessee Titans was her favorite NFL team. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Clifton and Doug Clifton. Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Mike (Donna) Tidwell and Rusty (Hillary) Tidwell; granddaughter, Amelia (Ian) Springer; great-grandchildren, Finley Springer and Lillian Springer; siblings, Martha Davidson and Wilson (Libby) Clifton; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, April 4, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and will resume on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. Funeral services will be in the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home, Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Chris Hedge and Bro. Mark Holland officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
