Margaret Tolosky

Margaret Durnin "Peggy" Tolosky, 64, of the Wilfred King Road, Chazy Lake, died Thursday, June 19, 2025, at her residence under the loving care of her family.
She was born in Plattsburgh, August 27, 1960, the daughter of William, Sr. and Shirley (Chase) Durnin.
Peggy grew up in Lyon Mountain and graduated from St. Johns Academy in 1978. Her education continued at Clinton Community College where she earned the title of Registered Nurse. She later obtained her BS in Healthcare Administration, from St. Joseph's of Maine.
Peggy worked for nearly 40 years at CVPH. She was a deeply loved and respected member of the North Country healthcare community.
She married Michael Tolosky, July 19, 1986 at St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain.
Peggy had a passion for nursing and helping others. She loved traveling with her husband, playing softball with her friends, skiing with her family and snowmobiling in the Wolf Pond area. In the summer she could be found on Chazy Lake cruising in her pontoon boat. She loved Florida beaches and eating lobster in Maine. Pickleball was one of her newest hobbies that she enjoyed. Ultimately, Peggy found her true calling as a Grammy/GiGi. Her grandchildren were her true pride and joy. Nothing was more important to her than spending time with them. They were her top priority.
Left to cherish the memory of Peggy are, her loving husband of 40 years (together for 45), Michael Tolosky; two sons and daughters-in-law, Matt and Anne White, and Jacob and Abby Tolosky, all of Plattsburgh; four grandchildren, Avery, Ryleigh, and Austin White, and Oliver Tolosky; mother, Shirley Chase Durnin; siblings, E. Mary (Denis) Fortin, Fab Durnin, and Billy Joe (Eva) Durnin; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, William Durnin, Sr.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 4 to 6 PM at St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 10 AM in St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. A reception will follow at the Butcher Block.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center in Plattsburgh.
