Margaret TRAVO Obituary

On February 18, 2025, Margaret, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with the Lord. Born April 5, 1931, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Her dad, Weldon, and mother, Philomene Herrington, and sister, Doreen, came to the states in 1936 and settled in Worley, Idaho. Her mother died when she was 13, in 1944. The family then moved to Spokane in 1946. She was attending North Central High School when she was introduced to Joe Travo, who was attending Gonzaga Preparatory High School the year 1949. From then on, they were inseparable. They married in January 1951. They had three children, Della Travo, married to James Aldrich, Suzanne Ressa married to Rick Ressa, and Frank Travo married to Barbara Travo. Frank passed away in 2023. They had seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. At the time of her passing, Joe and Margaret had been married 74 years. Margaret was a homemaker most of her life. She was an excellent cook and baker. She loved her homes and had superb taste in decorating and style about herself. She was an impeccable seamstress and quilter. She could knit and crochet and do needle point like no one else. You could always call mom if you could not figure out a pattern. She had a wonderful circle of friends for many years that have all gone before her that she missed terribly. They lived on Sacheen Lake for 51 years, where some wonderful family memories will be cherished forever. She passed away at her home, quietly with her beloved Joe at her side. There is no service planned at this time.
