Margaret Nancy Vandevert

Margaret Nancy Vandevert, age 96, entered God's Kingdom on Friday, April 16, 2021. Born July 7, 1924, in Cudahy, Wisconsin, Nancy moved to Bend, Oregon in her early twenties to be near family members. On March 21, 1948, she married Claude Chandler Vandevert, Jr.
Together, Nancy and Claude had three children. They relocated their family to Beaverton, Oregon in 1961 to pursue employment with Tektronix. Eventually moving to Vernonia, Oregon, Nancy retired and pursued volunteer opportunities, including jail ministries, crisis pregnancy centers and Luis Palau ministries. In her retirement, Nancy also enjoyed music and art. She created numerous paintings and charcoals for her home, for her family and for her many friends.
Nancy and Claude moved to Forest Grove in 1992 where they worshipped at Westside Bible Fellowship. Following Claude's death in 2011, Nancy continued to serve the Lord and to live independently.
Survivors include sons Claude and Bill Vandevert and daughter Sue Robertson. Nancy has twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Hillsboro, OR.
A public Memorial Services and Celebration of Margaret's life will be held at a later date.
