Margaret Elizabeth (Campbell) Vivlamore, 79, of Malone, passed away on September 16, 2022. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Brushton, NY at 2:00 PM with Fr. Steven Murray officiating.
Margaret was born on February 6, 1943, to the late Hobert Glenn Campbell and Maude Mae (Russell) Campbell in Moira, NY. She attended Notre Dame School, St. Joseph's Academy, and Franklin Academy in Malone. After high school she worked at W.T. Grant's department store. She was pursued relentlessly by Leon Arthur Vivlamore until she finally married him on April 23,1966, at Notre Dame Catholic Church. She became a mother to Kim in 1970 and to Kristi in 1972. Once her children were in elementary school, Margaret provided childcare to several area children in her home for many years. She returned to work in retail when her girls were in high school/college. Margaret was a faithful communicant of the St. André Bessette Roman Catholic Parish all of her life. She enjoyed reading, antiquing, working crossword puzzles, decorating, arranging flowers, and coloring in her journaling Bible and adult coloring books. The last several years Margaret had been in declining health, but was faithfully and lovingly cared for by her husband, Lee. The family knows she is in Heaven and rejoices that she is resting in the ever-loving arms of Jesus Christ the Lord.
Margaret is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Lee; daughter Kim (Sedric) Waguespack of Washington, Illinois; and daughter Kristi (Joe) Armstrong of Chateaugay; the lights of her life, her four grandchildren: Hannah Waguespack, Daniel Waguespack, Brianna Doyle, and Nathaniel Armstrong and her two step-grandchildren, Jordan Armstrong and Hunter Armstrong; brother George (Myra) Campbell of Malone; sister-in-law Virginia (Donald) Campbell of Westville; her beloved cousin, Tampa (Larry) Yeddo, formerly of North Bangor (now residing in Pink Hill, North Carolina); her 101-year-old cousin Mary Saxton of North Bangor; several nieces and nephews; and wonderful neighbors, Cliff and Tammy Hebert.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Hobert and Maude Campbell; brothers, James, Donald (Bill), and Gordon Campbell; sisters Janet Wood, Joyce Kelsey, Jane Koon, and Geraldine Deserous.
Contributions in her memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
