Marjorie "Margie" Ann (Parker) Allman, a member of the Kanawha community in Davisville, WV, passed away peacefully at her home on June 1, 2024, at the age of 90.
Born on August 10, 1933, Margie was preceded in death by her devoted husband, William Donald Allman, her daughter-in-law Tina Allman, her siblings, and her parents.
Margie was well-known for her kindness and generosity, always ready to open her home and heart to anyone in need. She was a good friend and neighbor, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who crossed her door. She loved to cook and her kitchen was the heart of countless family gatherings, filled with the sounds of laughter and the aroma of home-cooked meals. Holidays and weekends alike saw her home bustling with family and friends, a testament to her love for hosting and bringing people together. Margie also enjoyed playing cards and she and her husband Don were avid campers, spending many cherished years at the Ohio Power campground, where they created lasting memories with family.
She is survived by her only son, William "Bill" Allman, Jr. and a legacy of five grandchildren: Mike (Kelli) Allman of Belpre, OH; Jill (Rick) Allman; Brandy (Jason) Radcliff; Lacey Allman, all of Parkersburg; Tashua (Karl) Duval of Hollywood, FL and bonus grandson Jason Gage of Parkersburg. She was further blessed with eight great-grandchildren, Isaac, Zoie, Raina, Bella, Owen, Addison, Ruby, and Mason and two great-great-grandchildren, Kohen and Easton all of whom were the light of her life. Affectionately known as "Aunt Gigi" to many nieces and nephews, Margie's nurturing spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed. Her family was her greatest pride, and her legacy of love, hospitality, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. The Allman family will receive friends noon until time of service Friday.
