Margie Ganus Obituary
Mrs. Margie Ganus, 85, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm EDT Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 pm EDT, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ganus was born January 11, 1940 in Crawford, AL daughter of the late Harmon and Vera Niles. She spent the majority of her time caring for her family. Mrs. Ganus enjoyed fishing and attending functions at the Russell County Senior Center. She was a long time member of New Testament Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, Harby Amerson; two sons, Jack Scott and Randy Scott; two sisters, Ruby Niles and Voncile Godwin and two brothers, Eric Niles and Edward Niles.
Mrs. Ganus is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Larry G. Ganus; sons, Bill Scott and wife Patty and Wesley Scott; step-children, Larry Shane Ganus and wife Tabatha and Gwen Ganus; several grandchildren, extended family and friends.
