Margie L. Krough daughter of Merle and Dorothy (Herman) Trinkle was born on January 20, 1940, in Glidden, IA. She attended Glidden High School, graduating in 1958. After graduation Margie enrolled at the Iowa Mercy College of Nursing to get certified as an LPN. During nursing school Margie met her husband, Leslie F. Krough, later marrying him on September 10, 1961.
After getting certified as an LPN Margie started working for the Iowa Veterans Home. She worked there for 25 years. A little fun fact is that Margie lived and passed in the same unit she worked for all those years.
Margie was a member of the Church of Nazarene in Marshalltown. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. During her free time, she loved to crochet. One of the things she loved to crochet the most were dolls that she also sold throughout the 70s and 80s. She loved to garden and would spend hours canning 100s of jars each year of all the produce she grew.
Margie will be greatly missed by her children, Karman (David) Downs of Montour, IA, Penny Davis of Marshalltown, IA, Lesley Arnett of Houston, TX, and Kevin (Cheri) Krough of Marshalltown; her brother David (Kathy) Trinkle of Conrad, IA; her sister Mary Kent of Glidden, IA; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her husband; her two sons, Micheal Krough and William Krough; her brother Paul Trinkle; and a great-granddaughter Faith Morden.
