Margit Kotlar Obituary
Margit Kotlar 87 of Ravenna went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the Hospice of Medina. She was born October 28, 1936 in Petohaza, Hungary to Joseph and Margit (Csendes) Lazar. Margit and her husband escaped during the Hungarian revolution in 1956. She served and was a beloved member of Crossroads Community Church in Shalersville and had worked at AT&T. Survivors include her sons John Kotlar, Jr., Steve Kotlar and Alexander Kotlar, grandchildren Joshua (Sarah) Kotlar, Derric (Lauren) Kotlar and Jenni (Lucas) Sproul and great grandchildren Corina, Damien and Evelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Kotlar, Sr., sister Eva Horvath and brother Laszlo Lazar. Calling hours will be from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Salvation Army.

My first memory of Margit was when I had the privilege of leading her to Christ Jesus. With tears in her eyes she said ; "I have gone to church all my life and why didn't I know this about Salvation." "It is so wonderful."
