Marguerite E Burden (Margie) Age 88 of Lake Mary, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17th, 2025. She was born on December 3rd, 1936, in Salem, New Jersey, to her late parents, Ruth and Frank Hewitt.

Margie was a graduate of Penns Grove, New Jersey, high school class of 1954. She was active in choir, field hockey, basketball and was a majorette. In addition to all these activities, she was still able to maintain her Honor Society status.

In 1971 she moved her family to Maitland, Florida, where she worked as a hairstylist until she retired at the age of 80. When she was not working, she enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, playing piano and singing, and enjoying the beach. One of her favorite things to do was travel to Nassau, Bahamas, with her best friend, Susie Trampe. She was a scuba diver and also loved cats, ice cream and chocolate.

Margie is survived by 3 sons, Thomas Sammons (Susan), Douglas Sammons (Dee), Danny Burden (Joan) and 2 daughters, Jamie TerBorg (Rick), and Gwen Burden, and 3 grandchildren, Kelli Webber (Dustin), Christopher Sammons (Christin) Rachel Sammons and 4 great-grandchildren. She had one adopted daughter, Robin Dunakin and extended family, Donna Householder and Kimberly Crow. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Ruth Meyer and brother, Frank Hewitt.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents and daughters, Kathy Sammons and Marci Burden.
