Marguerite Menconi, 97, of Toms River, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Paterson and was raised in Hawthorne and had lived in Union City and Oceanport before settling in Toms River 10 years ago. Her greatest accomplishments were her children, grandchildren, and extended family, whom she loved deeply. Marguerite's life was filled with joy and laughter, and she would do anything for her family. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, and playing the piano.
She is predeceased by her husband, Guilio Menconi and son, Chris Menconi. Marguerite is survived by her three children, Leonard Menconi and his wife, Kathleen of Freehold, Steven Menconi and his wife, Lisa of Montvale and Elyse Menconi of Toms River; six grandchildren, Jacqueline, Ryan, Evan, Rachel, Drew and Jamie.
A gathering of friends will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:30 PM with her words of remembrance to follow. For information, directions, or condolence messages to the family, visit .
