NEWTON FALLS – Margueritte June (McCulley) Hodge, age 88, passed peacefully, surrounded by family, on August 8, 2025. She was born on April 25, 1937 in Ithaca, New York, to Margaret (Daly) McCulley and Robert E. McCulley. Her father was stationed in the United States Army, and she grew up in Watertown, New York, alongside her two sisters.

Margueritte graduated from Mercy Nursing School in Watertown and completed her nurses' training at a hospital in New York City. She married Edward "Ned" Hodge and moved to Newton Falls, New York, where they raised their three children. She was a beloved nurse at Clifton-Fine Hospital for many years.

An avid crafter and gifted artist, Margueritte enjoyed sewing her children's Halloween costumes and clothing. She served as a Scout Leader for many years and treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and many special friends.

She is survived by her youngest sister, Janice Sayyeau; son Robert (Barbara) Hodge; daughter-in-law Annette Hodge (David); and daughter Margo (Andy) Nadeau. She leaves behind six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many special nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Humane Society of your choice, or the United Way. There will be no service. Arrangements are with French Family Funeral Home in Star Lake. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
